To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, because
we have rebelled against him and have not obeyed the voice
of the Lord our God by following his laws which he set
before us. Daniel 9:9, 10

Let us confess our sins against God and our neighbor.

Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done,
and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us and forgive us;
that we may delight in your will,
and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen.

Lord, open our lips.
And our mouth shall proclaim your praise.

Let us confess our sins to God.

Thus says the man: I am weary, O God,

If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here.’ Pilate asked him, ‘So you are a king?’ Jesus answered, ‘You say that I am a king. O God, your Spirit of Wisdom was present at the creation and with Jesus at his baptism: Open our hearts to that same Spirit, and strengthen and guide
us to love and serve you and our neighbors; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Praise: A Song of the Spirit of Wisdom (Wisdom 7:7-8, 10-14a)

I prayed and understanding was given me; *
I called on God and the Spirit of Wisdom came to me.

I preferred her to scepters and thrones, *
and I accounted wealth as nothing in comparison with her.

and I chose to have her rather than light

We know that we have passed from death to life because we love one another. Whoever does not love abides in death.
